On the left, it's Naomi Wolf calling President Bush a fascist bent on setting up a "gulag," Amiri Baraka asking "who told 4,000 Israeli workers at the Twin Towers to stay home," Katha Pollit writing the American flag "stands for jingoism and vengeance and war."Obama Birth Certificate Update - Latest on Obama Birth Certificate - Esquire
On the right, it's Rush Limbaugh joking that we shouldn't kill all the liberals because we need a few to remind us what they stand for, Ann Coulter saying her only regret was that Timothy McVeigh didn't bomb the New York Times building, Sarah Palin accusing Obama of "palling around with terrorists."
Notice the above post, this shows how the media tries to seem equal in what really is not an equal situation, by placing three right wingers against three left wingers.
The problem is that there are some major difference between these three:
- Of the left winders on Maomi Wolf comes close to being somewhat well known, none have any political positions, and none are members of either 2 parties while the right wingers are well known, with major media outlets and Palin was the GOP Canidate for Vice President and Gov of a state.
- None of the 3 left wing comments called for violence, 2 of the 3 right wing ones do.
- Naomi Wolf's comment may be harsh, but given Gitmo it is not without valid, Palin "palling around commend" is just nuts.
