Stocks advance on upbeat news from Europe - Business - Stocks & economy - msnbc.com:

"European regulators, who issued the results of what are called 'stress tests' on the banks, said Friday that only a handful would struggle if the continent's economy weakens. That helped send the Dow Jones industrial average up more than 100 points, which gave the index a two-day gain of more than 300."

Not with a storm but a whimper the sovereign debt crisis comes to a slow, silent end. A media creation to assure to make money off Europe by exploiting Greece and to support Tory policies in the UK, yet another sudden turn in the weird ride of modern Capitalism.

Are Europe's banks really so secure? Who knows. No one knows and no one can know because there is nothing to know. Modern finance is a chaotic game dependent on utterly imperfect information. The free market of billionaires desperate for 20% return has turned the global economy in to a casino.

Time travel theory avoids grandfather paradox

Time travel theory avoids grandfather paradox: "(PhysOrg.com) -- The possibility of going back in time only to kill your ancestors and prevent your own birth has posed a serious problem for potential time travelers, not even considering the technical details of building a time machine. But a new theory proposed by physicists at MIT suggests that this grandfather paradox could be avoided by using quantum teleportation and 'post-selecting' what a time traveler could and could not do. So while murdering one’s relatives is unfortunately possible in the present time, such actions would be strictly forbidden if you were to try them during a trip to the past."

"'We were the junior partner in 1940 when we were fighting the Nazis.'"

" Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, This was their finest hour."

Winston Churchill 18 June 1940

Well the Empire is long gone, and these men in a thousand years will know more British history than the current TORY PM
